Every year in late spring, the Groupe ESA, Angers, France -Graduate School of Food, Agronomy and Agribusiness- offers a unique, four-week program to foreign undergraduate and graduate students.
The Summer Programm 2008 will be held from June 2nd till June 27th.
The purpose of the program is to introduce students to the French way of life, the France’s role in the European Union and the rich heritage of French culture, while at the same time providing concentrated study in one of four fields :
Agriculture & Agribusiness
Horticulture
Viticulture & Wine Making
Rural Tourism & Gastronomy.
With some basic instruction in French but all other classes conducted entirely in English, the program combines lectures, educational field trips, and cultural visits in a wide variety of places.
Lodging and Meals : Students have the option of living with :
a host family,
or one or two French ESA students. Lunches are taken at the university cafeteria and dinners with host families.
Transportation : International transportation and the train to Angers are the participants’ responsibility. There is a direct train from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Angers (duration : 120 minutes only). All other means of transportation are provided by the program (city bus, field trips, subway).
Cost :
Students from ESA partner universities : 1650 €
Students from other universities : 3000 € To know if your university is an ESA partner, click on Member institutions. This price includes lodging and food, cultural excursions & organized outings, field trips, academic materials, transportation during the program. However, it doesn’t include : airfare, personal expenses, insurance, passport fees, home university fees and costs.
